How would I structure papers summarising classic Islamic literature books for a project I am working on?

I would suggest the following structure as it is critical and pretty comprehensive. It is similar to the one used by the Cambridge University Macat project for producing critical summaries of Western social science and humanities texts:

Ways into the text - Who was the author, what does the text say and why does it matter

Influences - The author and historical context, academic context, the problem, the author's contribution

Ideas - main ideas, secondary ideas, achievement, place in the author's work

Impact - the first responses, the evolving debate, impact and influence today, where next

Glossary - glossary of terms, people mentioned

Works Cited
