Islamic Calendar

Also known as the Hijri Calendar is a lunar calendar consisting of 12 months in a year of 354 or 355 days. The beginning of each month is marked by the observance of a new moon seen for the first time. Muslims use the Islamic calendar to determine the dates of religious events and observances.
