Language: Classical Arabic

Classical Arabic is the form of the Arabic language used in literary texts from Umayyad and Abbasid times. The Qur'an is written in Classical Arabic. Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) is the literary variety of Arabic used in writing and in most formal speech.
