Wives of the Prophet Muhammed

Muhammed's wives were the eleven women Muslims refer to them as Mothers of the Believers (أمهات المؤمنين). Muslims use the term prominently before or after referring to them as a sign of respect. All but two of Muhammed's marriages were contracted after the Hijra (migration to Medina).
