How do you keep balance between modestly doing veil in front of family’s non mehram men and the etiquettes of honouring the guests? Especially if you have confidence problems.

I have recently converted to Islam. Before I had been submerged in the Catholic and Christian faiths while growing up. I do not live in a predominantly Muslim county. I live in Zimbabwe, Africa, where you hardly see Muslim woman dressed in their fully covered dress and hijab. Have been researching and have found that it states that a woman must dress conservatively/modestly according to her culture. My culture is not Arabic. Therefore.... Am I able to still dress normally? Trousers/long skirt/dress and long sleeved to short sleeved top? No hijab? So most of the body besides the head and part of the arms are visible?
