The Danish editor who published the "Muhammed Cartoons" in 2005 was on Hardtalk. Interestingly he claimed the violence that ensues from insulting Islam meant they and other media outlets are more careful to follow suit.

Those who argue there is no benefit in such acts would no doubt have a problem explaining this - there does seem to be benefit.

Our criteria should not be benefit/harm - it should be right/wrong.
