Introduction: Islam is often perceived by some non-Muslims as an intransigent and rigid religion, which can lead to prejudice and negative stereotypes. However, Islam is actually a religion based on tolerance, love and ease for its followers. The fundamental principles of Islam, such as compassion, justice and fairness, clearly reflect this orientation. Moreover, the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) encourage Muslims to be kind and tolerant towards non-Muslims and to co-exist peacefully with them. It is therefore important to dispel the myths surrounding Islam and show how it actually embodies the values of tolerance and ease.

Topic

Praise be to Allah.
Islam is a religion of mercy, leniency, tolerance and ease. Allah has imposed on the Community only what it is able to do. It will be rewarded for the good it does and punished for the evil it does.

In this regard, the Transcendent has said: Allah does not impose on any soul a burden greater than its capacity. It will be rewarded for the good it does and punished for the evil it does (Qur'an, 2: 286).

Allah has exempted the Muslims from all burdensome and inconvenient duties.

In this regard, the Most High says: He has chosen you, and He has not imposed on you any hindrance in religion (Qur'an, 22:78).

Any sin committed by the Muslim by mistake, by forgetfulness or by compulsion is forgiven by Allah, according to what the Transcendent says:

Lord, do not punish us if we forget or make a mistake. (Qur'an, 2: 286). After which Allah said: I have done it.
The Muslim will be examined on the basis of his deliberate acts and not on the basis of his mistakes, according to what the Transcendent has said:
No blame on you for what you do by mistake, but (you will be blamed for) what your hearts do deliberately. (Qur'an, 33:5).

Compassionate and merciful, Allah charged Muhammad to convey a religion that is upright, tolerant and easy.

"Allah wants ease for you, He does not want difficulty for you " (Quran, 2: 185).

The Prophet (blessings be upon him) said:

"Religion is easy and no one will exaggerate the practice of religion without being defeated. Read well and approach (the right path) and be assured (of your future in the Hereafter). (Reported by Bukhari, 39).

Satan is the greatest enemy of man; he makes him forget the mention of his Master and embellishes His disobedience. This is what the Transcendent expresses in these words:

The Devil has dominated them and made them forget the remembrance of Allah. These are the party of the devil and it is the party of the devil who are surely the losers. (Qur'an, 58:19).

The speech of the soul (thought) is forgiven by Allah according to this statement of the Prophet (peace be upon him):

Allah has forgiven my Community what they say to each other as long as they do not externalise it and translate it into action. (reported by Muslim, 2990.

If anyone who has committed a sin repents, Allah forgives him. And when those who believe in our verses (the Qur'an) come to you, say:

Say: "Peace be upon you: your Lord has prescribed mercy for Himself. And whoever of you did wrong out of ignorance, and then repented and reformed... He is, then, Forgiving and Merciful. (Qur'an, 6: 54).

Conclusion
These hadiths show that Allah is generous and multiplies rewards for good deeds and forgives bad deeds. It highlights the importance of good intention in actions, for even if a person abandons a good deed, he will still be rewarded. Furthermore, if a person does a bad deed and abandons it, Allah does not take account of it. On the contrary, if a person continues a bad deed, he will only be punished for that one bad deed.
