Where an answer refers to dates, in general, you should provide two dates, the first should be a Hijri date and the second the Christian era date such as: 10 AH/632 AD. The first date '10' refers to the year in the Islamic Hijri calendar and the second '632' refers to the Gregorian year.  For the twentieth century, the Islamic dates can be dropped, for example, 1990.  To make clear when people lived, for key people the year of death should be cited along with an option year of birth, for example: Muhammed (d. 11/632).
