The eminent muhaddith Sa’id Mahmud al-Mamduh in his work on major Muslim figures entitled "Tashnif al-Asma bi-Shuyukh al-Ijaza wa-l-Sama" directly narrates from senior scholars' statements in praise of Shaikh Taqi al-Din al-Nabhani:

“Our teacher al-Sayyid Sabiq related to us that: ‘Shaikh Taqi al-Din al-Nabhani would not be seen except in study circles or in the Azhar library and he would be entirely devoted to doing that’.” (Vol.2, p.756)

“The honourable Shaikh Abd al-Aziz al-Khayyat, minister of endowments in Jordan, said to me: ‘my eyes have never seen the likes of al-Nabhani. They fought him tooth and nail. When he passed away, I hurried to write an obituary in the papers but was prevented’.” (Vol.2, p.758)

“My dear friend al-Sayyid Yusuf al-Rifa’i, minister of Endowments in Kuwait, said to me: ‘I met Shaikh Taqi al-Din al-Nabhani; his mind and intellect was such that if it was distributed among the Muslims today, it would suffice them’.” (Vol.2, p.758)
