Is it permitted in Islam to lay or sleep on one's front?

Several hadiths have been narrated from the Prophet (saw) regarding it being prohibited to lay down on one's stomach, that this is the sleep of hellfire, and the sleep of the inhabitants of hellfire. For example: Ya’eesh ibn Tihfah al-Ghifaari reported that his father said: “I stayed as a guest with the Messenger of Allaah (saw) with those of the poor whom he hosted. The Messenger of Allah (saw) came out in the night to check up on his guests, and saw me lying on my stomach. He prodded me with his foot and said, ‘Do not lie in this manner, for it is a way of lying that Allah hates.’” According to another report, the Prophet (saw) prodded him with his foot and woke him up, and said, “Do not lie like this, for this is how the people of Hell lie.” (Ahmad, al-Fath al-Rabbani, 14/244-245; Tirmidhi, no. 2798; Abu Dawood, al-Sunan, Kitab al-Adab, no. 5040; Saheeh al-Jami’, 2270-2271) Some scholars authenticated these hadiths. These narrations came via Yahyā Ibn Abī Kathīr, from Ya'īsh ibn Tihfah, from his father, from the Prophet (saw) and there is Idtirāb (inconsistencies) these hadiths with muhaditheen like Bukhārī and Dāraqutnī have noted this despite the outwardness of the chains seeming to appear authentic. There's no single authentic hadith regarding the impermissibility of lying down on one's stomach, and every hadith that has been narrated pertaining the impermissibility of sleeping on one's stomach, then it's defective, and based upon this, sleeping on one's stomach would be permissible without being disliked, because there's no authentic hadith from the Prophet(saw) regarding the impermissibility of doing that.
