Prophet Mohamed (saw) married the following women:
Out of 11 wives, he only married 1 virgin and "Aisha" and he married only once before the Prophethood "Khadeejah" for 25 years until she died and he did not combine any wives with her, he married later on widows and this all shows that the sexual desire was not the driving factor in his marriage decisions.
Multiple marriages wasn't uncommon in the era of prophet Mohamed, there were also reasons behind these marriages such as establishing good relations with different tribes, setting an example of marrying widows and women who lost their husbands at war.
The Prophet (saw) married women at different ages, as for the case with Aisha which sounds uncommon today and before assessing it we need to understand that this took place 1400+ years ago, different culture and different era.
It was never reported this marriage was criticised at that time even by the enemies of prophet Mohamed, in other words we can conclude that this was common and accepted at that era.
